Doctor Kristy

My name is Kristy, and I have been interested in writing for several years. No, I am not a real doctor. It's an in-joke that has lasted several years, so now most of my close friends call me that. You are welcome to too.

 My dream is to someday own an old castle somewhere in France or the UK. Every cent I make and have to spare goes into my castle fund.

Yes, I am aware sometimes my spelling is a little funky. I live in Australia, which teaches some words slightly different to American spelling. However, years of microsoft word correcting my words has left me with a slightly bizarre mix... I spell some words the English (Australian) way, and others the American way.

My interest in reading and writing started at the age of around 7, when I would get great pleasure reading horror books from the teenage section of my library. Not because I liked the books themselves, rather because it made me feel grown up, and like I was doing something I shouldn't. I hated the books themselves, and would speed-read to avoid reading the gory bits. 

I am very interested in history and old things (like ancient roman coins, which I have a few of, and bugs trapped inside amber for millions of years.) Learning of ancient civilisations fascinates me, but then again, everything about history (old or recent) does. I have done extensive research into my own family tree, and try and pick up antique furniture at garage sales. None of that Ikea crap for me.
